Clean Break

I made a clean break with Tiny last night. It went fairly well, or at least as well as that sort of thing can go. I chose to do it over the phone. Cowardly? Perhaps, but I decided it would be easier and/or best that way. We talked for around a half hour and essentially agreed that we had different long-term goals in life and it would be best if we ended things now. Just before we hung up Tiny said "I hope you find what you're looking for.", which I didn't didn't know how to respond to. After a pause I said something like "Um, thanks, you too." and that was it.

So now I'm single with virtually no prospects, which wasn't much of a plan.

  1. So what are you looking for? Are you in search of a long term relationship? Something casual?

If I can guess a bit of your personality outside of your sex/love life, it seems as if you are a planner, meticulous, and organized. I imagine that you work hard and are fairly successful. So it's a bit amazing that you haven't applied some of your work ethics to your love life. Some of these women aren't long-term material.

    What's your next move?

  3. I'm starting to think you'll never settle down until you're old, burned out, and need someone to take care of you. But, respect for never compromising and being mostly honest about your intentions with the women in your life.

  4. That comment sounds as if she really liked you. The dating field is DRY which can SUCK when winter is around the corner.

Ya know, its interesting because you go for these "hot" girls and they never seem to live up to some standard... this makes me ponder if you even really KNOW what you want in a woman long term. It seems to me that the methodology you are using when you choose these women isnt really working. Although, perhaps you arent searching for a companion... maybe just another conquest?

Dating sucks but if you are serious about finding a "soulmate" (if you believe in all that) than perhaps you need to change the TYPE of women you are chasing. Sometimes the prettiest package aint the best. After awhile, you realize the 'new' one is just like the last girl... NOT what you want. Seems to me, your type isnt working.
Just a thought as I am trying to reinvent my type as well...AND IT AINT EASY!

    onward and upward!
